QNAP has announced their new professional-grade NAS, the TS-410E, specifically meant for multimedia center and noise-sensitive use cases with its fan-less cooling design and high-speed I/O specifications.

The TS-410E is powered by an Intel Celeron J6412 quad-core processor (burst @ 2.6 GHz) and up to 8GB of dual-channel memory. Moreover, it is equipped with four 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s SSD slots. The TS-410E has hardware-accelerated AES-NI encryption, which helps to ensure data security without negatively impacting performance. In addition, it features dual 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, allowing it to boast up to 5 Gbps transfer speeds that can be achieved by setting port trunking. The TS-410E also features USB 3.2 Gen2 connectivity.

QNAP’s new NAS supports the company’s QTS 5.0 operating system, making it a reliable file storage, sharing, backup, synchronization, and data protection NAS solution. The built-in App Center offers a comprehensive range of install-on-demand apps to further increase the TS-410E’s flexibility, such as:

  • Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS) for efficient local/remote/cloud backup jobs
  • Virtualization Station
  • Plex server for media streaming
  • Container Station for natively hosting virtual machines and containers
  • Subscription-based QVR Elite, which can leverage the TS-410E’s HDMI output and high-capacity storage for building a smart and budget-friendly video surveillance solution
