With the latest version of QTS (4.4.0), the TVS-x72XU series provides businesses with a “well-rounded” NAS solution that focuses on performance, reliability, scalability, and comprehensive business-ready capabilities.

The TVS-x72XU features up to 64 GB dual-channel DDR4 memory, AES-NI encryption acceleration and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 for 4K (H.264) video transcoding. The equipped PCIe slots also give users the option to install 10GbE/ 25GbE/ 40GbE network cards for bandwidth-demanding applications, QM2 cards for more M.2 SSDs, and graphics cards for use cases that involve heavy GPU tasks.

In addition to the two 10GbE SFP+ ports, the TVS-x72XU supports the company’s new 25GbE NIC (QXG-25G2SF-CX4), which improves file sharing and intensive data transfer rates, enables high-speed remote backup using Hybrid Backup Sync, and supports iSCSI Extension for RDMA. Moreover, SSD caching helps the QNAP series thrive in IOPS-demanding applications while allocating SSD extra over-provisioning for potential performance and endurance levels of enterprise-grade SSDs. Qtier auto-tiering capabilities also allow users to install the minimal number of necessary SSDs for optimal storage efficiency.
