RAIDIX announced the latest version of its unified storage software, RAIDIX 4.3. The latest update aims to bring increased performance, fault tolerance, ease of implementation and use. RAIDIX claims that their software is now even faster, more reliable and convenient.
Founded in 2009 by Andrew Fedorov, RAIDIX is a high performance SAN and NAS storage system software development company. RAIDIX has patented RAID calculation algorithms in the kernel, works on x86 servers, and supports InfiniBand, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel interfaces. RAIDIX is tailored to fit the specific data needs of their customers and their focus is three sectors: Media and Entertainment, Healthcare, and High-Performance Computing.
Roughly every six months RAIDIX makes a major update that focuses on storage performance. The updates made focus on the industries listed above. For example, nine months ago an update was release that focused specifically on HPC and leveraging Big Data. This update was optimized for joint use with Lustre parallel file system. The following update focused on fault-tolerant NAS customers, enabling Write-Once-Read-Many option. The current update focuses on overall performance increases as well as new interface support.
