Rubrik has announced new generative AI capabilities for VMware customers through its AI-powered Cyber Recovery solution to minimize disruption following a cyberattack. The new solution leverages generative AI and large language models (LLMs) to help administrators navigate tradeoffs following a cyberattack to help minimize data loss and reduce downtime. Administrators can use a recommended task list and guided workflows to ensure efficient data recovery and maintain cyber resilience.
Organizations grapple with formidable threats from cyber attacks that specifically target virtual machines. Safeguarding cyber resilience against such attacks hinges on the capacity to swiftly and securely recover vital data, including virtual machines. Traditional backup tools often entail intricate and time-intensive recovery procedures, necessitating a pool of highly skilled IT professionals.
Despite these time-consuming and sometimes tricky endeavors, organizations contend with incomplete restoration and data loss while attempting to recover data from earlier backups. A recent report from Rubrik Zero Labs State of Data Security highlights that merely 16 percent of external organizations managed to fully recover their data even after acquiescing to ransomware demands.
Anneka Gupta, Rubik’s Chief Product Officer, explained:
“Cyberattacks can be highly unpredictable, and the complexity and sophistication of these threats make it challenging — if not impossible — for organizations to recover data quickly, safely, and with minimal data loss. We understand that every minute counts when faced with a cyberattack. Rubrik AI-Powered Cyber Recovery helps organizations take advantage of every second, empowering them to get their business-critical systems and data back up and running. As we continue our mission to secure the world’s data, generative AI will be a key that helps customers unlock true cyber resilience more effectively.”
Rubrik AI-Powered Cyber Recovery is designed to empower organizations with features including:
Rubrik’s recent collaboration with Microsoft included the integration of Rubrik Security Cloud with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure OpenAI Service to accelerate cyber recovery through generative AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Rubrik is dedicated to developing innovative and effective AI solutions to enhance cyber recovery, allowing organizations to reduce investigation and response time, ultimately increasing overall cyber resilience.
