Today Rubrik announced the general availability of its new hybrid cloud appliance series, the r300 series. Its Converged Data Management Platform underpins this new hybrid cloud appliance series. The company is also announcing that in series B funding it has raised an addition $41 Million. This combined with its series A funding, brings its total funding to $51 million.
The new Rubrik r300 series comes pre-configured with the Rubrik Converged Data Management Platform. The r300 series are 2U appliances that come with either 3-node, 10TB of capacity for the r330 or 4-node, 15TB capacity with the r340. The platform contains Rubrik's patent-pending Cloud-Scale File System, a version-enabled distributed system with intelligent management of drives, both SSD and HDD. Rubrik Converged Data Management Platform can scale out to tens of thousands of nodes. The new platform also comes with add-ons such as Live Storage for DevOps Infrastructure and Cloud Replication & Archival.
