The PRO, EVO and Standard lineups are available in a wide range of capacities from 4GB to 64GB with the PRO and EVO products both supporting Ultra High Speed (UHS-I) Class 1 level performance and offering fast read speeds of up to 90MB/s and 48MB/s, respectively. The PRO line uses MLC NAND, which is significant plus since most flash devices like this are TLC and are generally made from the lowest cost NAND available.

The new lineup of Samsung memory cards have newly designed exteriors and branding: professional silver for PRO, orange for EVO and emerald blue for Standard. Each of the new memory cards also have distinctly printed white numbers that indicate the capacity of each card. microSD cards will come with an SD adaptor in the US, and some will be paired with a USB drive adaptor.

The wide range of storage capacities are offered to meet the demand of all types of consumers including those who require large data storage volume. With Samsung’s 64GB PRO memory cards, users can record approximately 670 minutes of full HD video (30fps) without the need to change or replace the memory card.

Samsung has designed their new cards to be waterproof, temperature proof, X-ray proof and magnet proof, which allows them to withstand some of the harshest conditions. All models are also guaranteed to last up to 24 hours in seawater and endure operating temperatures from  -13°F to 185°F and non-operating temperatures from -40°F to 185°F (-25°C to 85°C and -40°C to 85°C, respectively). Additionally, data in the cards will not be affected by the X-rays, can resist up to 15,000 gauss magnetic force, and can withstand the weight of a 1.9 ton vehicle.
