Seagate has unveiled the Lyve Cloud Analytics platform, a comprehensive cloud-based analytics solution that features storage, compute, and analytics. It is specifically designed to help Lyve Cloud customers lower their total cost of ownership and speed up time to value with their DataOps and machine learning operations.

Customers will be able to leverage an open data lake architecture for analytics at the petabyte scale to further accelerate time to implementation. Seagate also claims cost savings by up to 40% when compared to its competition.

Seagate uses its own manufacturing experience to offer pre-configured, full-stack analytics code solutions for time series, tabular data management, and image analytics. Also included are professional services that can potentially reduce time to implement analytics in a production environment from 12-18 months to less than 4 months, says Seagate.

Manufacturing and other multi-petabyte data scale enterprises, including semiconductor, healthcare, retail, and energy, will benefit most from Lyve Cloud Analytics platform. The pre-configured full-stack offering (developed in partnership and integration with various leading analytics and computing providers) provides organizations with a smart and out-of-the-box solution that they can use to both innovate and grow.

Seagate indicates the following other benefits of their new analytics platform:

  • Move data across edge, core, and public clouds with high optionality, zero lock-in or fees, and full interoperability.
  • Enable production-centric, automated acceleration of ML with self-service data science tooling and pre-built analytic accelerators.
  • Add in a full-scale platform with ready-to-use models for DataOps/MLOps and white-glove support from our data science team.
