StorMagic announced a new dashboard plugin that gives full support to VMware vSphere 6.0 as well as tools to monitor health of virtualized storage in VMware deployments. StorMagic’s SvSAN enables businesses to store critical data on remote sites so that they are available at all times, even without the access or need for a company wide network. SvSAN keeps the data local for high availability but manages the data and applications through a centrally controlled virtualized storage platform.
The new dashboard plugin integrates with VMware vSphere Web Client, which enables users to manage entire SvSAN multisite storage infrastructure from a central location. Multisite storage can run up to thousands of locations. The new dashboard plugin gives administrators the ability to manage and monitor these sites from a central location as well as giving an “at-a-glance” health status view of the entire SvSAN virtual SAN environment. The dashboard shows the health status of all the virtual storage appliances (VSA) being monitored and lists them in order of importance. If there is an issue, it can be identified and corrected much faster.
StorMagic, established in 2006, is the creator of the software solution SvSAN. SvSAN ensures high availability through a virtualized shared storage platform by leveraging the existing server storage and presenting it as a virtual SAN. SvSAN is aimed at any customers running business critical applications at the edge.
Availability
The new dashboard plugin is available now and requires SvSAN 5.2 and VMware vSphere 5.5 or later.
