The AIC EB202-CP edge server is a versatile and feature-rich platform designed for a variety of edge applications. This segment of the server space is getting increasingly competitive as more applications are pushed out of the data center and to the places like industrial sites and retail locations where data is created and analyzed.
The AIC EB202-CP is a 2U chassis that differentiates with a number of features like its support for three different storage form factors: E1.S, E3.S, and U.2. These drives are actually stowed in a removable block that can be easily swapped out.
The EB202-CP is powered by a single 4th Gen AMD EPYC processor, known as “Genoa” with eight DDR5 DIMM slots. These processors provide fast and efficient performance via a massive x86 core count. It also supports up to two GPU cards, providing more computing power for demanding workloads like edge inferencing. Additionally, there are two more PCIe slots and an OCP NIC slot as well.
The chassis has a short-depth design (22″), making it ideal for use in space-constrained applications, like telco, where space is at a premium. It also offers three different power supply options: single, redundant/single, and DC input, giving users the flexibility to choose the option that best meets their needs.
Finally, the edge server is designed with front-to-back airflow and hot-swap redundant fans, ensuring optimal thermal conditions even under heavy load.
