Toshiba has announced four new additions to their portfolio of performance HDDs, the X300, P300, E300, and L200 series. The new hard disk drives are built to meet consumers’ most intense storage needs, which include three desktop models and one mobile option. The new 3.5-inch desktop internal HDDs include the Toshiba X300 Series, built for extreme gaming and graphics; the Toshiba P300 Series, designed for high-performance mainstream users; and the Toshiba E300 Series, designed for consumers looking for reliable performance and low power management. The mobile Toshiba L200 Series is a 2.5-inch drive designed for superior mobile computing.
Toshiba’s new X300 caters more towards high-end or pro users, including graphic designers and gamers. The company indicates that the drive focuses on extreme performance and reliability in order to seamlessly handle intense desktop computing. Backed by a 2-year standard limited warranty, the X300 offers up to 6TB in storage capacity as well as a variety of data protection features.
The P300 is a high performance HDD that is ideal for home and office users with demanding applications. Offering up to 3TB of storage capacity, the P300 operates at 7,200 rpm and features special data protection technology.
The E300 is the most affordable of the bunch, while boasting low-power consumption. It also comes in capacities up to 3TB and is ideal for those looking to enhance their everyday computer performance. The E300 also uses adaptive power modes to conserve and optimize power, reducing power consumption, quoting in improvement up to 25% compared to the P300 (7,200 rpm) model.
The L200 is a 2.5-inch mobile drive that offers consumers with a high capacity upgrade option as well as data protection features. It is compatible with every major brand of notebook computer, gaming console and other key applications, and provides up to 1TB in storage. The L200 HDD is backed by a 3-year standard limited warranty.
