Toshiba America has announced the HK3R, an enterprise SSD with 2.5-inch form factor and a 6Gb/s SATA interface integrated with Toshiba 19nm NAND flash for high-quality performance and reliability. The HK3R eSSD is optimized for read-intensive applications including read-caching, error logging, boot, and low-duty storage applications that require power-loss-protection as well as end-to-end data protection features. Additionally, it comes in capacities of 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB, which boast sequential read speeds of 500MB/s. Toshiba’s new eSSD also supports one full drive write per day with a one hundred percent random data, aligned 4KB workload.
The HK3R eSSD also features Toshiba’s proprietary Quadruple Swing-By Code error-correction technology, which is a highly efficient error correction code that ensures customer data is safe and accessible. The HK3R eSSD delivers enterprise-class reliability and consistent, sustained high-performance over the life of the product and ships with a 5-year limited warranty.
