Today Zadara Storage announced its expanded high-availability and data protection options for its Virtual Private Storage Array. The service includes a unique, Multi-Zone HA capability. The new options run the gamut of data protection from application corruption all the way up to facility-level failure. The new features also enable customers to extend their data redundancy across metropolitan locations and ensure that mission critical applications will continue to function in the face of failures small to large.

Business continuity and availability are paramount, if data can't be accessed business will be severely impaired. With its Multi-Zone HA, Zadara provides automatic, real-time failover across geographically distributed locations. Multi-Zone HA also enables customer to enjoy both file (NAS) and block (SAN) storage that "automatically and synchronously replicates data across a metropolitan area network and fails over automatically and transparently in the event of facility‐level failure." Whether the customer is an On-Premise as a Service or a Cloud VSPA user, they now have the option to geographically distribute their data with zero recovery point objective and zero recovery time objective.

Users can distribute application servers across different zones and storage access within the same region with any of Zadara's 36 public storage clouds such as: Amazon Web Services (5 regions), Microsoft Azure (3 regions), and Dimension Data (3 regions). Zadara is also adding support for Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service. This support will enable users to create online, point-in-time backups of Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, along with other Microsoft enterprise applications.
