G-TECHNOLOGY And Atomos Collaborate On Suite Of Products

G-Technology announced today that they will be showcasing a suite of new storage products at IBC that are designed to streamline creative workflows. G-Technology collaborated with the video production company Atomos to create a line of products that improves the efficiency of footage transfer. Five products are being released, including four that directly impact footage transfer (i.e., the Atomos Master Caddy 4k by G-Tech, the Atomos Master Caddy HD by G-Tech, the ev Series Reader Atomos Master Caddy Edition, and the ev Series CFast 2.0 Edition), as well as one new portable SSD (the G-DRIVE ev RaW).

The Atomos Master Caddy streamlines the process of transferring footage to one of G-Technology's G-DOCK ev storage devices or an ev Series Bay Adapter. The Atomos Master Caddy is inserted into an Atomos-compatible recorder prior to footage capture, then transferred into the ev Series Reader Atomos Caddy Edition. The latter product acts as an adapter, allowing the Atomos Master Caddy to be installed into a G-DOCK. The Atomos Master Caddy 4k is available in three capacities (256GB, 512GB, and 1TB) and the Atomos Master Caddy HD is available exclusively in a 1TB model. Needless to say, most of these products would be useless without multiple other products from the ev Series, but using all of them together creates a fast and efficient transfer process.

G-Technology has released a product that streamlines workflows in which videographers are using CFast 2.0 memory cards as well: the ev Series Reader CFast 2.0 Edition. They have also supplemented this suite of products with their new G-DRIVE ev RaW SSD, which can be installed into an ev Series docking solution or the G-SPEED Studio XL. The G-DRIVE ev RaW SSD is available in a 500GB and 1TB model.
