G-Technology has announced the first extension of its Studio line, the G-SPEED Studio XL. The company’s new storage solution expands on the two–bay G-RAID Studio and four-bay G-SPEED Studio Thunderbolt 2 storage solutions that were released earlier this year. The G-SPEED Studio XL houses up to eight removable enterprise-class 7,200 RPM hard drives, offers upwards 64TB in capacity, and is quoted to boast up to 1,350MB/s in RAID 0 performance for the demanding digital content creation applications.
The G-SPEED Studio XL features a modern design, reliability of G-Technology’s Studio line, and comes in a high-quality, black enclosure with integrated cooling technology, which is ideal for any high-performance computer or workstation. In addition, it supports 4k workflows with user-configurable RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Just like other solutions in G-Technology’s Studio family, the G-SPEED Studio XL can be daisy-chained using dual Thunderbolt 2 ports to improve storage speeds to support demanding multi-stream HD, 2K, and compressed 4K workflows.
