HPE Discover 2022 opened by unveiling new HPE GreenLake platform enhancements and new cloud services. HPE GreenLake enables organizations to modernize their applications and data, from edge to cloud. The latest innovations deliver an open, secure, and scalable platform and a robust set of cloud services that provide customers and partners with greater control, agility, and faster time to value in their hybrid cloud strategy.
The HPE GreenLake platform provides customers and partners with a unified, consistent cloud experience, control and visibility, and easy access to over 70 cloud services. Organizations benefit from a single control plane to automate, orchestrate, and run a hybrid strategy for all workloads, wherever they reside. Advancements to the platform include enhanced security, a new developer portal and developer tools, and deeper capabilities to manage assets and workloads at scale.
The HPE GreenLake platform continues to drive strong customer demand. HPE GreenLake has over 1,600 enterprise customers and, in Q2 2022, reported Annualized Revenue Run-Rate (ARR) of $829 million and triple-digit as-a-service orders growth for the third consecutive quarter.
Antonio Neri, HPE’s president and CEO, said:
“Three years ago, at HPE Discover, HPE committed to delivering our entire portfolio as a service by 2022. Today, at our first in-person HPE Discover since 2019, I am proud to say that not only have we delivered on that commitment, but we have also become a new company in the process. HPE GreenLake is now the de-facto platform for hybrid cloud and private cloud, and our industry-leading catalog of cloud services enable organizations to drive data-first modernization for all their workloads, from edge to cloud. The innovations unveiled today further build on our vision to provide the market with an unmatched platform to unleash innovation and transformation.”
In addition to the platform enhancements, HPE GreenLake adds eight new cloud services. Private Cloud Enterprise offers organizations powerful capabilities to transform faster with automated, flexible, scalable pay-as-you-go private cloud for traditional and cloud-native workloads.
HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is an industry-first private cloud with a true public cloud experience. HPE has designed Private Cloud Enterprise to be simple to operate but offers hyperscaler-like roles and an accountability matrix.
Built for both cloud-native and traditional applications, HPE Private Cloud Enterprise includes modular infrastructure and software and supports the deployment of bare metal, virtual machines, and container workloads. The design is flexible and fungible across all private cloud platform needs, whether it’s VMs, Containers, or Bare Metal. Giving customers the ability to manage the total cost of ownership, HPE GreenLake has implemented a pay-as-you-go service that is modular and scalable.
Private Cloud Enterprise highlights:
In addition to the enhanced platform and cloud services, HPE GreenLake is expanding the partner ecosystem. With the expansion of Red Hat and SUSE relationships, the ISV partner momentum continues to grow for HPE GreenLake. The HPE GreenLake Marketplace has grown to over 80 partners.
The ability to capture and quickly act on insights from data can transform industries, create new business opportunities, speed time to market, and inform critical decisions. To achieve these outcomes, customers need unified access to data, and the ability to gain insights, manage, store, and recover data seamlessly from edge to cloud. At HPE Discover 2022, HPE
unveiled multiple cloud services designed to help organizations drive data-first modernization.
HPE GreenLake continues to build out a catalog of cloud services for specific industry verticals based on partnerships and integrations with domain-specific ISVs.
The updated HPE GreenLake platform experience will be generally available in September 2022.
