Lenovo Announces 4 New ThinkPads At CES

Today, as a part of CES, Lenovo has announced 4 new ThinkPads, as well as the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses. The new notebooks take the form of the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, and X12 Detachable.

Today, as a part of CES, Lenovo has announced 4 new ThinkPads, as well as the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses. The new notebooks take the form of the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, and X12 Detachable.

Starting with the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, Lenovo boasts that this is their thinnest ThinkPad ever, at just over 11mm thick. It has a 13.5-inch, 3:2, low-power display. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and X1 Yoga Gen 6 sport all new 16:10 displays and integrated fingerprint readers and human presence detection sensors. All three of these devices will be running on Intel’s Evo platform powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris X graphics, which has support for Intel vPro. They will also all be 5G/4G LTE ready and have WiFi 6. These notebooks are set up for optimal content consumption, with all of them having Dolby Atmos speakers and Dolby Vision support, with Dolby Vision HDR on the Titanium Yoga. They’re also introducing Dolby Voice on these models, which claims exceptional conferencing experience, leveraging spatial audio technology to enhance the microphone and speaker experience while in meetings.

The ThinkPad X12 Detachable is an all new device from Lenovo, combining a fully-featured laptop with the flexibility of a 12.3-inch detachable tablet. The screen is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass and will support the optional Lenovo Precision Pen or the Lenovo Digital Pen and, of course, your fingers. This device will also have WiFi 6 and offer optional 5G / 4G LTE connectivity, along with Dolby Atmos speakers, a Dolby Vision screen, and Intel Evo powered by 11th Gen Core processors and Intel Iris X iGPU to keep parity with the rest of the lineup.

In the US, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga will be available starting January 2021, with prices starting at $1,899. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available starting February 2021 with prices to start from $1,429. The ThinkPad X1 Yoga will be available starting February 2021with prices to start from $1,569. And the ThinkPad X12 Detachable will be available starting January 2021 with an expecting starting price of $1,149

The Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glasses are Lenovo’s latest augmented reality glasses, designed to be tethered to a PC and provide 3D visualization as well as virtual monitors. The device tethers via USB-C cable and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 Platform. It sports stereoscopic 1080p displays, an 8MP RGB camera to provide a 1080p video feed for remote expert use cases, and dual fish-eye cameras to provide room-scale tracking. The Industrial Edition of the glasses tether to select Motorola smartphones for hands-free AR tasks and remote mixed-reality support on-site. The Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glasses will be available in select markets worldwide starting mid-2021. These are designed for commercial use only and as such, have no consumer pricing.
