Today HP announced new insights-driven services all around easing IT workloads and keeping employees productive. This builds off of the announcement the company made at CES 2021 of HP Smart Support that helps IT teams reduce HP Support call times.

It is estimated that nearly half of the global workforce is now working remotely, including myself as I write this. This presents new challenges for IT as they try to keep everything secure and keep users up and going. Not only are users leveraging a wide variety of devices, but they can also no longer be helped in person, and any type of outage can drain productivity. This is especially infuriating to IT as the network being down remotely is beyond their control. The new HP Services announced today are aimed at putting actionable insights at IT’s fingertips by securely collecting device telemetry and applying analytics and deep learning via the HP TechPulse platform.

First up is HP Active Care. Proactive maintenance is one of the best ways to avoid downtime and keep costs in check, unfortunately almost every industry and government avoid proactive maintenance in favor of reactive maintenance. HP is looking to help here with Active Care, a service that leverages AI from HP TechPulse to help IT proactively identify needed device repairs and make replacements. Including in the service are predictive device health analytics, proactive help desk ticket creation, remote support, remediation services, and next business day onsite response to keep employees productive. It is much better to fix or replace end devices before they break versus waiting until the notebook, for example, is broken and zero work is getting done.

Next up is HP Proactive Insights for fleet monitoring. With a wide array of PCs and Oss being utilized by remote workers, IT needs a way to monitor them all. HP Proactive Insights can provide fleet analytics on multi-vendor, multi-OS devices to help organizations reduce the cost and complexity of device management. This will help organizations track technology issues that affect employee experiences. This will give users the technology they need to effectively do their work.

Finally, is HP Proactive Endpoint Management for multi-OS. Much like the above, HP Proactive Endpoint Management for multi-OS monitors end devices looking for issues proactively. This service specifically looks at arduous device management tasks such as asset tracking, device performance, and device utilization. These tasks get offloaded to free up IT’s time. The service works with systems like ServiceNow, Microsoft Intune, and VMware.
