AMD announced that its popular and powerful 2nd Gen AMD EPYC processors are powering VMs used in Microsoft 365. Users see a big performance boost as well as a reduction in latency of 15-20%.
MemSQL announced that it is changing its name to SingleStore. The company states that the name change better reflects its value proposition. SingleStore is said to provide a converged data platform for transactions and analytics, which organizations can use to process and analyze their most important time-critical application workloads.
OWC announced that it intends to acquire the reliable data backup, restore, and archival company BRU. BRU is no startup; they have been in business for 35 years and lay claim to the genuinely cross-platform backup and archival solution. This acquisition would strengthen OWC’s position as a provider of reliable backup and archive solutions. OWC will acquire both the technology and customer base of BRU.
Ivanti announced updates to both its Unified Endpoint Manager and its User Workspace Manager. The new updates are for platforms such as Windows, Android, Mac, iOS and Linux devices. New Unified Endpoint Manager enhancements include:

Nasuni announced that it is a Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop Partner. This means that the former’s files system for cloud has been verified to easily integrate with Windows Virtual Desktop. When using Nasuni in concert with Windows Virtual Desktop, file resources are co-resident, eliminating the latency that would delay opening a file.
TEAMGROUP announced the release of its T-FORCE TREASURE Touch External RGB SSD. This external drive’s touch feature allows user to turn on its RGB lighting effects. The drive leverages USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C connector and is compatible with multiple platforms including game consoles. The drive has 1TB of capacity and an MSRP of $169.99
