GIGABYTE announced its support for the new NVIDIA innovations. Diamanti announces support for Red Hat OpenShift. Komprise adds new capabilities for Azure.

OWC Releases SoftRAID Lite & Lite XT for Windows

OWC announced that has made both its SoftRAID Lite and Lite XT available for Windows users. This allows users to have a cross-platform solution and can share RAID volumes between OSes. Benefits include:

  • Flexible: create RAID 0, 1 volumes with SoftRAID Lite and Lite XT (Windows)
  • Verified: volume validation ensures sectors can be read, parity is correct, and volume failure is minimized
  • Certified: thoroughly scans drives before use to ensure they are safe for data storage

GIGABYTE Announced Its Support For The New NVIDIA Innovations

NVIDIA made several announcements at its GTC event this week. GIGABYTE announced that it has validated the latest NVIDIA A100 accelerators for various servers and will support the NVIDIA-Certified Systems program. This includes:

  • A100 PCIe GPU
  • HGX A100 8-GPU and 4-GPU
  • Mellanox ConnectX-6, ConnectX-6 Dx, BlueField-2 DPU
  • NGC catalog (software for deep learning, machine learning, HPC, and vCS)

Diamanti Announces Support For Red Hat OpenShift

Diamanti announced support for Red Hat OpenShift 4.5 through the Diamanti D20 RH release. OpenShift adoption is expanding in the enterprise however there is a challenge with scaling up instead of out. Diamanti states that is cloud-native data plane solution and I/O-optimized storage and networking architecture can help address these challenges.

Komprise Adds New Capabilities for Azure

Komprise announced new capabilities for its Komprise Intelligent Data Management solution in Microsoft Azure. The new capabilities including the ability to migrate file data to Azure Files and Azure NetApp Files and manage the lifecycle of files in Azure NetApp Files volumes. Komprise is available in the Azure Marketplace.
