The TS-h2490FU also comes equipped with 2nd Gen AMD EPYC 7002 series processors and ensures 32Gb/s bandwidth for each individual installed NVMe SSD. The TS-h2490FU-7302P-128G model comes with two pre-installed Broadcom dual-port 25GbE SFP28 SmartNICs, which provide up to 100 Gbps transfer speeds under Port Trunking. It also features five PCIe Gen 4 slots, allowing users to outfit the NAS with additional functionality such as high-speed network interface cards, QM2 cards to add M.2 SSDs, and storage expansion cards to connect QNAP SAS/SATA expansion enclosures.
With the ZFS-based QuTS hero, QNAP’s new NAS puts a huge focus on data integrity with self-healing. It features data reduction with inline data deduplication, compression, and compaction, which significantly reduces the overall storage footprint. It also has other SSD-optimization features such as Write Coalescing, TRIM, and Pool Over-provisioning and supports near-unlimited snapshots and versioning for enhanced data protection. In addition, the App Center provides a range of install-on-demand apps to expand the capabilities of the TS-h2490FU even further, including hosting virtual machines and containers, simplifying local/remote/cloud backups, and setting up a cloud storage gateway to deploy hybrid cloud applications.
