QNAP Updates QM2 PCIe Expansion Card Line

QNAP has added to its QM2 PCIe expansion card line with several new models. These new cards support up to four M.2 SSDs slots on a single card and either M.2 SATA SSDs or M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs, which allows for SSD caching and improved IOPS performance. They also allow users to create an auto-tiering volume. Moreover, the new additions to the QM2 line also maximize storage capacity and performance, as the M.2 SSDs do not populate any of the 3.5-inch drive bays. The new QM2 cards now support more QNAP NAS solutions.

The M.2 SSD thermal sensors support real-time temperature monitoring, while the quiet cooling module (which includes the heatsink and smart fan) help to minimize overheating risks and sustain constant high performance. Th QM2 models that support four M.2 SSDs via the PCIe slots bring SSD caching to QNAP NAS solutions as well as higher storage capacity to optimize IOPS-demanding applications. They also support RAID 5/RAID 6/RAID 10 drive configurations.

The advanced models are equipped with additional 10GbE 10GBASE-T connectivity that is backward compatible with 5GbE/2.5GbE/1GbE/100MbE.
