Announced back in August of 2017, the Seagate Nytro 3000 SAS SSD line came with lots of promise but few details. A replacement for the 1200.2, the new line had capacities as high as 15TB and performance claims of 2.2GB/s sequential read. The company has finally released a more details about the drive.

The new SSD line is aimed at enterprise use cases such as server virtualization, databases, software-defined storage, and all-flash arrays. The drives leverage a dual 12Gb/s SAS bandwidth. The Nytro 3000 Series comes in four models: The 3730 that has the highest performance and is aimed at mainstream endurance. The 3530 for light endurance aimed at OLTP-type workloads. The 3330 designed for scalable endurance with the ability to scale in both performance and endurance. And the 3130 aimed at tunable endurance or the ability to configure endurance.
