Synology got into the SSD business back in June of last year. At the launch, the drives were designed to be used in Synology NAS devices for caching to increase the NAS’s performance. The latest versions are geared toward the same end just with more capacity to allow for even more hot data to be pooled. Both the drives are fully integrated with Synology DSM.
