VMware has announced the release of VMware vRealize Cloud Management 8.2. This version comes with new and innovative capabilities for modern infrastructure automation, supporting DevOps principles and self-driving operations. vRealize Cloud Management helps VMware’s customers accelerate innovation with easy access to services, improve efficiency through automation and improved visibility, and mitigate risks through unified operations and governance.

This version comes with new and innovative capabilities for modern infrastructure automation, supporting DevOps principles and self-driving operations. vRealize Cloud Management helps VMware’s customers accelerate innovation with easy access to services, improve efficiency through automation and improved visibility, and mitigate risks through unified operations and governance.
With vRealize Cloud Management, you can deliver consistent infrastructure with consistent operations for your organization. Its products are available both on-premises and SaaS. Well-established VMware’s products are vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations, vRealize Log Insight, and vRealize Network Insight. Now, with the 8.2 release, VMware is introducing new capabilities and enhancements spanning the following products:
The new and enhanced VMware vRealize Automation and VMware vRealize Automation Cloud capabilities will include: Modern Automation Platform, to improved capabilities, increase agility, security, and control. DevOps for Infrastructure, to enhanced Infrastructure as Code capabilities. Self-Service Cloud, to enhanced integration with VMware Cloud Foundation. And Kubernetes Automation, for self-service provisioning of Kubernetes namespaces.
In regards to VMware vRealize Operations 8.2 and VMware vRealize Operations Cloud, both products will feature: Kubernetes Operations and enhanced support for Kubernetes via integration with VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and Red Hat OpenShift. App-to-infrastructure Troubleshooting, a feature integration with APM tools such as AppDynamics, Datadog, and Dynatrace. Monitoring VMware Cloud and beyond, an improved metric-correlation, and new near real-time monitoring; and also, enhancements to native AWS management. And Efficient Capacity and Cost Management, bringing improvements to the pricing and costing engine.
VMware vRealize Log Insight 8.2 and VMware vRealize Log Insight Cloud will also introduce enhanced Kubernetes support, deeper integration with VMware Cloud on AWS, and overall usability enhancements. And finally, VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.2 will deploy and manage vRealize Suite products on VMware Cloud on AWS, support vRealize Operations product re-size, and scale capabilities. As well as continuous availability architecture, and manage data collected by vRealize Network Insight.
Availability
These products are all expected to become available in the VMware Q3 FY21.
