Corsair Force Series LS SSD Announced

Corsair is announcing the Force Series LS SSD line which is available in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities and is engineered as a cost-effective upgrade for desktops and notebooks to replace HDDs. The Force Series LS is a 7mm height SSD, and can thus easily be installed in any standard 2.5" drive bay, or even a 3.5" drive bay with an optional adapter. The drive also features 6Gb/s SATA support to allow the maximum amount of throughput. Internally, the Force Series LS SSD features a Phison 6Gb/s SSD controller and Toshiba NAND to provide solid SSD performance at up to 10x faster than standard HDDs.

On top of those aforementioned features, the Force Series LS SSD includes support for TRIM, garbage collection, and S.M.A.R.T commands and includes a built-in advanced dynamic and static wear-leveling algorithm to extend the lifespan of the drive flash memory. Also, available for free as a download is the Corsair SSD Toolbox software utility which enables firmware updates, disk clones, Secure Wipe, overprovisioning, etc.

Aside from the Force Series LS SSD, Corsair ships a comprehensive SSD line that features a selection of controllers that enables Corsair to offer a strong range of products.

Corsair Force Series LS SSDs are available in 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB capacities at respective MSRPs of $69.99, $109.99, and $199.99 USD. Primarily designed for the global market, the SSDs are available now from Corsair’s worldwide network of authorized retailers and feature a 3 year warranty.
