HPE GreenLake Intelligence uses a new agentic AI framework that unifies and automates operations across the entire IT stack.
At HPE Discover 2025 in Las Vegas, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) introduced its vision for the future of hybrid IT operations, centered on ultimate simplicity and operational intelligence. The announcement of GreenLake Intelligence marks a significant evolution in HPE’s hybrid cloud strategy, leveraging a new agentic AI framework to unify and automate operations across the entire IT stack. By infusing agentic AIOps throughout nearly every infrastructure layer, HPE is transforming GreenLake Cloud into an agentic AI-powered hybrid cloud platform.
The Enterprise Enters the AI-Native Era
Organizations across industries are under increasing pressure to innovate rapidly, yet many are constrained by legacy infrastructure, mounting technical debt, and the inherent complexity of managing sprawling hybrid environments. The convergence of AIOps and agentic AI presents a unique opportunity for enterprises to overcome these challenges, modernize their operations, and unlock new levels of agility and efficiency.
HPE’s CEO, Antonio Neri, emphasized that the integration of agentic AI into hybrid IT is a game-changer, enabling organizations to streamline cloud operations and achieve higher performance and efficiency. According to Neri, HPE’s approach is about more than just automation—it’s about fundamentally reimagining how hybrid IT is managed and optimized.
A Unified Agentic AI Framework
GreenLake Intelligence sets a bold new standard for hybrid IT, introducing a unified hybrid cloud operating model powered by agentic AIOps. Built from the ground up and deeply integrated across HPE’s hybrid cloud technology stack, GreenLake Intelligence addresses the persistent challenges of siloed and manual workflows, troubleshooting delays, and underutilized IT resources. By automating and optimizing these processes, the platform reduces the burden on overextended IT teams and accelerates time to value.
Accessible through GreenLake Copilot, GreenLake Intelligence allows the deployment of AI agents that can interact contextually and in real-time across storage, networking, computing, and virtualized resources. This agentic approach extends to hybrid cloud cost operations, observability, sustainability, and business services, providing a comprehensive solution for modern IT management.
AI-Driven Network Operations
HPE Aruba Networking is enhancing its AI-driven network operations with the introduction of an agentic mesh and networking copilot, both integrated into the GreenLake Intelligence framework. As part of HPE Aruba Networking Central, these advancements deliver root-cause analysis and automated remediation for complex network issues. The solution leverages network-specific reasoning agents to prioritize security and ensure resilient, AI-powered networking.
Building on its 2024 launch, HPE OpsRamp Software now expands its agentic operations copilot to enable automation across the full IT stack. The platform is designed for rapid detection and remediation while maintaining human oversight. Key agentic capabilities include conversational product assistance and an agentic command center that delivers AI/ML-based alerts, incident management, and root-cause analysis. Through GreenLake Intelligence, OpsRamp becomes a multi-domain agentic system, supporting use cases such as explainability, capacity planning, and coordinated management across compute, network, storage, virtualization, and other software layers.
HPE previewed the integration of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers natively within the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, showcasing the next generation of agentic AI-powered storage. By connecting GreenLake Intelligence with the X10000 via MCP servers, developers and administrators can orchestrate data management and operations through GreenLake Copilot or natural-language interfaces. The built-in data intelligence layer of the X10000, when linked with internal and external AI agents, ensures that AI workflows are continuously supplied with unstructured data and metadata-based intelligence.
New GreenLake Cloud Capabilities
HPE is further enhancing its GreenLake cloud services with new capabilities for financial operations (FinOps), sustainability, workload planning, and capacity management—all built on the agentic AI foundation. The new workload and capacity optimizer provides a unified solution for managing workloads and hardware assets, optimizing for cost, resilience, and sustainability across HPE compute, storage, networking, virtual machines, and multi-vendor third-party IT infrastructure.
Consumption analytics have been upgraded to deliver proactive spend anomaly alerts, support for FinOps Open Cost and Usage SpecificationTM (FOCUS) exports for chargeback, and actionable recommendations for cost-effective infrastructure modifications, such as downsizing or decommissioning virtual machines. The HPE Sustainability Insight Center now offers predictive sustainability forecasting and a managed service provider model, complete with customized metrics to help organizations track and minimize their hardware-related carbon footprints.
Unifying Hybrid Cloud Operations
To simplify the creation of a unified hybrid cloud operating model, HPE introduced the new CloudOps Software suite, which integrates OpsRamp, HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software, and HPE Zerto Software. Available as standalone applications or as part of the suite, these tools deliver automation, orchestration, governance, data mobility, data protection, and cyber resilience across multi-vendor, multi-cloud, and multi-workload environments.
HPE Services now offers enhanced support to accelerate CloudOps adoption, covering the entire customer lifecycle from Day -1 consulting through Day 0 planning, Day 1 implementation, and Day 2 operations. CloudOps is also available as a managed service, allowing customers to optimize resources across multiple cloud providers with minimal complexity.
Strategic Tools and Programs for Hybrid IT Modernization
The new HPE CloudPhysics Plus assessment tool provides a comprehensive approach to hybrid IT modernization, offering automated analysis and recommendations for workload placement, asset utilization, and infrastructure upgrades. CloudPhysics Plus extends virtualization analysis to multiple runtimes, including on-premises, multicloud, and cloud-native environments such as Hyper-V, bare metal, Kubernetes, and public cloud. Customers can access a free assessment through HPE channel partners and sales representatives.
GreenLake is also launching the HPE Cloud Commit program. This flexible purchasing model allows customers to make long-term, predictable investments in GreenLake, access discounts, and benefit from value-added services and software.
Flexible Financing for Hybrid Modernization
HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) is simplifying hybrid modernization with a new zero percent financing program for CloudOps, as well as standalone Morpheus, OpsRamp, and Zerto solutions. This program enables customers to spread costs over the license term, annually, for up to three years at no additional cost. HPEFS is also introducing a new financing program for the HPE Alletra Storage portfolio, including the X10000, offering up to ten percent savings compared to traditional purchasing and no payments for the first two months. In addition, HPEFS provides a broad range of financing and IT lifecycle services to accelerate hybrid modernization and support sustainable technology decommissioning.
