Barracuda has announced Barracuda Cloud Archiving Service, designed to help organizations with compliance as well as to efficiently address eDiscovery requests. Barracuda also unveiled its Microsoft Office 365 strategic initiative in order to assist organizations in managing their businesses when moving to (and managing in) Office 365. Barracuda indicates that the company’s new cloud-based archiving service supports this Office 365 initiative, adding that end users can have read only access to search and view email from anywhere on any device that uses a web or mobile interface via integration with Microsoft Outlook on Windows, or with native applications for MacOS, iOS, and Android.
Barracuda Cloud Archiving Service gives users a significant amount of search and discovery features separate from the secure archive copy of the requested data. Barracuda also claims that this method ensures there is no conflict between data retention for operational compliance and legal search and discovery exercises. This allows for complete accuracy of data returned for every search.

Barracuda Cloud Archiving Service is currently in early access with a general availability slated for sometimes at the end of December, 2015. Pricing begins at $2.00 USD per user, per month and $20.00 USD per user for an annual subscription.
