Eaton announced today that its remote monitoring and management service, Eaton PredictPulse, has been redesigned. Eaton has taken feedback from over 100 customers in designing this service. The new design provides a new user experience for both web browsers and mobile devices, that is said to make it easier for users to monitor their power infrastructure.
Eaton PredictPulse was introduced back in 2016. At the time we said, PredictPulse Insight works by collecting and analyzing data from a UPS via the company’s proprietary modeling and advanced algorithms technology. It then attempts to identify component failures before they happen so that Eaton’s certified technicians can proactively address power issues and replace essential UPS components instead of dealing with equipment after they fail. Eaton indicates that this will allow IT professionals and facility managers to focus on other important initiatives.
After 4 years it is time for an upgrade. Mainly the service has been redesigned around making it easier to use. For those that leverage mobile more often, they will now have a view into real-time data, trends, events, service history and alarms from any mobile or tablet device, along with a new PulseScore feature to communicate the overall health of a user’s uninterruptible power system (UPS). The redesign isn’t all cosmetic. There are several new features as well.
