HP has announced a Windows-based application that will make HP Thin Client Windows Embedded user experience easier than before, HP Easy Shell. With an interface that is easy for administrators and end users, HP Thin Client users can control, customize, and protect their Windows Embedded user experience.
HP Easy Shell allows users to make the most of their cloud, VDI, and kiosk environments. Easy Shell enables customization of security from denying or limiting access to apps and common Windows components like web browsers, task manager, and the control pane, to locking down keyboards of kiosk users to prevent Ctrl+Alt+Del commands.
Easy Shell uses a familiar Windows-based interface to reduce training costs and HP Device Manger easy rollouts and to automatically deploy administrative tasks. HP Velocity comes standard to optimize network traffic. And Easy Shell supports touchscreen interactivity, so end users can work with Windows Embedded touch capabilities.
