Today, Pure Storage announced an update to their existing FlashArray//C Storage-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering. Pure Storage’s previous FlashArray//C offerings used a mix of TLC (triple-level-cell) and QLC (quad-level-cell) flash memory. They now offer a full QLC flash storage array. John Colgrove and John Hayes founded Pure Storage 11 years ago in 2009. The company sells storage-as-a-service using all-flash servers bundled with their custom software.

John Colgrove and John Hayes founded Pure Storage 11 years ago in 2009. The company sells storage-as-a-service using all-flash servers bundled with their custom software.
Pure Storage’s Storage-as-a-Service (SaaS) FlashArray//C modules are now available with 24TB QLC flash modules, offering a third more storage than the previous generation TLC flash modules. Pure Storage also says it plans to offer 49TB QLC modules that are expected to be available in Pure’s third quarter.
The all QLC offering is a straight hardware upgrade with no modifications to the existing software. Pure Storage claims that when it performs hardware upgrades like this one, it does it in a non-disruptive way that does not require customers to perform a data migration. Customer data and metrics will still be available through the same single pane of glass interface as before.
Earlier this month, Pure Storage partnered with Cohesity to provide data protection services.
