Sanbolic today announced the general availability of its Latency Targeted Allocator (LTA) module for the Melio data management platform. The TLA module enables high availability in mixed hard disk drive, flash memory and solid state disk deployments, aggregating distributed server-side flash storage into a centrally managed ‘softSAN’ in order accelerate their physical, virtual and cloud workloads.

The Sanbolic Melio platform in conjunction with the new LTA supports multi-workload, multi-hypervisor, and multi-site deployments with active-active access to critical data independent of the underlying storage hardware. Melio integrates application-aware shared storage with data and volume management capabilities including software RAID stack, dynamic resource provisioning, snapshots, disaster recovery, quality of service, and storage live migration.

Availability

Sanbolic Melio software, featuring the new LTA is now generally available and priced at MSRP $9,600 USD (includes one year of support).
