We've built up a well-appointed virtual workstation testing lab, thanks in large part to our sponsors. HP has provided the 16 thin clients and displays to bring this lab to fruition. While thin client computing hasn't always been the most sexy or performance oriented part of IT, it's growing rapidly for a number of reasons. One reason involves a more forward thinking design for the thin clients themselves, including a variety of mobile options that look about the same as their full-fledged PC cousins. Another reason involves a much improved performance profile thanks to HP software initiatives, NVIDIA GPUs and features like Blast Extreme from VMware. In this podcast I talk with Jeff Groudan who runs the thin client business for HP who covers off on these topics and many more about the future of thin client computing.
