Synology has introduced new products to satisfy both home and enterprise users with the release of the DS420j and SA3600. With these new products, Synology is adding to both their DiskStation and SA NAS portfolios.

The DiskStation DS420j is a 4-bay NAS, powered by Synology DiskStation Manager, ideal for home data backup and multimedia streaming with powerful protection. This file syncing and sharing solution is ready for users looking to build a private home cloud and is well suited for the growing data storage needs of families and home users. In this digital day and age, large amounts of data are being generated by personal users and the DS420j provides a simple solution to protect digital possessions and share them with family.

A selling point of the DS420j is the extensive multimedia options and cross-platform support. Going beyond just data protection. Features included with this system include Surveillance Station, Multimedia, Desktop Backup, File/Server Management, Synology Drive, and Hyper Backup. The Surveillance Station is Synology’s subscription-free home security solution that stores footage on your local device. Synology Drive allows you to sync files across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices, keeping everything up-to-date. Multimedia features include Synology Moments – an AI-enabled photo management application, Synology mobile applications (DS audio, DS Photo, and DS Video), as well as streaming support by turning your Synology NAS into a home media hub. Synology Hyper Backup is a reliable and multi-directional backup solution offering data deduplication and compression with block-level incremental data backup.
