Veeam has made a range of announcements and gave several updates to existing products at this year’s VeeamON in Chicago, a conference dedicated to all things related to intelligent data management, particularly Hyper-Availability. At the conference, Veeam discusses the expansion of its portfolio to address the growth of multi-cloud adoption with customer-centric solutions that focus on protecting data using the cloud provider that best matches their specific workloads.

These announcements include:

  • IBM Cloud: Veeam has expanded its partnership with IBM Cloud, announcing a 1,000% increase in workloads protected by Veeam in IBM over the course of 2018. Moreover, Veeam Agents are now available on IBM Cloud on both physical and virtual workloads running on Windows or Linux. To enhance IBM mid-market and enterprise data protection for on-premises customer workloads, IBM Business Resiliency Services now features managed services on Veeam hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Veeam also revealed a noticeable growth in IBM business partners that sell Veeam on IBM Cloud.
  • AWS: A big focus for Veeam is expanding our portfolio to support protection across AWS environments. And Veeam demonstrated that commitment with the acquisition of N2WS earlier this year, strengthening our ability to protect AWS workloads.
  • N2WS: Since the acquisition of N2WS in January 2018, N2WS has reported a 153% increase in Q1 2018 bookings as well as a 100% growth in installed trials and POCs. N2WS also added Amazon DynamoDB to its serverless computing portfolio and new disaster recovery options for Amazon Aurora in its Cloud Protection Manager version 2.3.
  • VCSPs (Veeam Cloud and Service Providers): Lastly, Veeam unveiled that it now has 18,900 partners, among which are three new platinum-level VCSP partners: Equinix, Involta, Nexon and ISG. In addition, 2,000 VCSP partners have opened licenses of the most recent Veeam solutions including Veeam Agents for Microsoft Windows and Linux and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365.
