Dell EMC Updates Unity OS To 4.5

Today Dell EMC announced updates to its popular Unity OS Operating Environment, updating to 4.5. The updates feature new data reduction, protection, and management functions. The company is also announcing UnityVSA Cloud Edition now runs on AWS Cloud and that Unity has been validated with VMware Cloud Foundation.

IBM Updates Its Storage Portfolio

A week out from its annual Think event (this year in San Francisco) IBM has made a handful of enhancements to its storage portfolio. These enhancements run the gamut from containers to blockchain to IBM’s Cloud Private. The company has also made enhancements to its AI tools and data protection portfolio.

NVIDIA Brings Quadro Virtual Workstation To Azure

Today NVIDIA announced that its Quadro Virtual Workstation (Quadro vWS) would now be available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This latest availability brings all of the benefits of NVIDIA Quadro vWS to even more customers. And, of course, being cloud-based users can deploy it wherever they wish.

Baidu Announces OpenEdge

Dell Technologies Returns To The Market

Today, in a surprise to almost no one, Dell Technologies Inc. made its return to the publicly traded markets, specifically the NYSE, it was previously traded on the NASDAQ. Dell went private almost six years ago and in that time bought EMC. The company will be traded under the symbol DELL.

Tintri releases TGC 4.0

Tintri by DDN launched the latest version of its Tintri Global Center, TGC 4.0. According to the company, this marks a major step forward towards creating a centrally managed and fully autonomous storage environment. This is also the first major release by Tintri since DDN’s acquisition.
