Already available for Windows and Linux, the new product supports VMware vSphere 5.0 and later. AC&NC has announced a new JetStor 764F solution for high capacity, high demand enterprise applications. The JetStor 764F features four 8Gb/s fiber channel interfaces and four 6Gb/s SAS channel expanders. If used with 4TB drives, a single 4U 764F array supports up to 256TB of storage.

Plextor has announced their latest enthusiast-grade SSD offering, the PX-M5P. The first SSD to hit the market with Marvell’s latest generation SSD controller, the M5P promises some of the biggest single drive performance yet, with random read IOPS of 94,000 and write performance of 86,000 IOPS.  Sequential read/write speeds weigh in up to 540/450 MB/s.

Eaton has announced a new 5P UPS power management and battery backup solution for network closets and small data centers. 5P models range from 1,500 VA (1,440 watts) to 3,000 VA (2,700 watts) and offer integration with virtualized environments via Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software Suite.

LSI Corporation has announced enhanced power consumption features for its SandForce SF-2200/2100 Client Flash Storage Processors (FSPs) geared for ultrabook applications. These FSPs support SATA 6Gb/s connectivity from 24-512GB of NAND flash memory.  

Fusion-io has announced a partnership with NetApp to integrate Fusion-io’s server-side flash and caching products with the NetApp Virtual Storage Tier. The two companies are collaborating on compatibility between the Fusion ioMemory platform and NetApp’s Data ONTAP operating system, as well as caching solutions including NetApp Flash Cache, NetApp Flash Pool and Fusion-io caching software.

Dell’s new Big Data Retention Solution combines Dell object storage with optimized RainStor database technology to provide consolidated and scalable storage for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. The solution optimizes RainStor for Dell’s DX Object Storage Platform, allowing customers to add capacity in amounts as small as 2TB, scaling to petabytes and billions of objects.

Crucial today announced the availability of the m4 mSATA Solid State Drive (SSD), designed to be mounted to an mSATA motherboard as primary storage for ultrathin laptops or as cache for slower hard drive storage.
