Acer America announced the upcoming availability of new F2 rack and tower servers for SMB and enterprise, which are set for release in the U.S. later this month. The Acer F2 server family includes three new rackmounts and three towers with Intel Xeon E5 or Intel Xeon E3 processors across a range of price and performance points. Acer’s servers are available exclusively via resellers and channel partners.
Acer America announced the upcoming availability of new F2 rack and tower servers for SMB and enterprise, which are set for release in the U.S. later this month. The Acer F2 server family includes three new rackmounts and three towers with Intel Xeon E5 or Intel Xeon E3 processors across a range of price and performance points. Acer’s servers are available exclusively via resellers and channel partners.
The new F2 servers feature tool-less chassis designs with 80 PLUS Bronze, Gold and Platinum-level power supplies to provide more than 80 percent energy efficiency at 20-, 50- and 100-percent rated loads. All of the new servers are Windows Server 2012 certified, with support for other operating systems varied by model.
The new F2 Generation 3 Series servers incorporate a management suite that includes:
- Acer Smart Set-Up for automating server installation.
- Acer Smart Console to allow side band and out of band remote control of the server.
- Acer Smart Server Manager to monitor up to 250 servers with alert-based notification of error conditions and optional Microsoft Systems Center integration.
- An add-on feature enables data center customers to run power capping commands across Acer servers via a uniform interface to maintain optimal power-performance.
AT350 Tower
The Acer AT350 dual-socket tower server offers up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 Series processors and up to 384GB 1600MHz DDR3 ECC memory. 1+1 redundant 920W 80 PLUS platinum-level power supplies and redundant, hot swappable system fans maintain system availability. The AT350 accommodates up to 16 hot-swappable SAS/SATA or SSD HDDs, six PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, and up to 24 DIMM slots with support for registered or unbuffered ECC memory.
The AT350 can provide optional TPM v1.2-compliant data protection and includes integrated 8-channel SAS/SATA HDD with software RAID 0, 1 or 10. Intel Trusted Execution Technology protects against software-based attacks. The Acer AT350 tower server’s starting list price is $1,699.
AT310 Tower
The Acer AT310 single-socket tower server is designed for small and medium businesses, with Intel Xeon E3 1200 V2 processors, six expansion slots, data storage of up to 8TB, and up to 32GB DDR3. The AT310 also features hot-pluggable HDDs and an on-board dual gigabit ethernet controller that supports iSCSI boot, as well as built-in 6-channel SATA with software RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10. The AT310 tower servers have a starting list price of $999.
AR380 Rackmount
The AR380 F2 dual-socket 2U rackmount server features up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 Series processors with Intel Quick Path Interconnect, along with a maximum of 384GB of DDR3 1600MHz ECC memory. The AR380 has space for up to 16×2.5 hot-swappable SAS/SATA or SSD HDDs for a total of 16TB storage capacity, along with six PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, up to 24 DIMM slots, and redundant system fans.
A built-in-8-channel SAS/SATA storage controller provides software RAID 0, 1, or 10, and the AR380 can be configured with up to two 920W 80 PLUS hot-swappable redundant power supplies. The AR380’s starting list price is $1,799.
AR360 Rackmount
Acer’s AR360 dual-socket 1U rackmount servers feature two Intel Xeon E5-2600 processors and up to 384GB DDR3 1600MHz ECC memory. They are designed to utilize up to two 700W 80 PLUS Gold redundant power supplies, redundant fans, integrated RAID, and mirrored DDR3 memory. The AR360 includes up to eight 2.5-inch hot-pluggable SAS/SATA or SSD HDDs, two PCI Express 3.0 slots and up to 24 DIMM slots. These servers feature integrated 8-channel SAS host controller with software RAID 0, 1 or 10. The starting list price is $1,799.
AR320 Rackmount
The AR320 F2 single-socket 1U servers feature Intel Xeon E3-1200 V2 processors and up to 32GB DDR3 memory. These servers feature redundant fans, hot-pluggable HDDs, dual-port gigabit ethernet controllers with iSCSI Boot, and 6-channel SATA with software RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10. The AR320 starting list price is $1,199.
AT110 Tower
The Acer AT110 single socket Intel Xeon E3 1200 V2 tower server is designed to maximize price-to-performance for small businesses. They are Energy Star-qualified with a 450W 80 PLUS Bronze fixed power supply and up to 8TB internal storage. This model includes 6-channel SATA with software RAID 0, 1, 5 (optional) or 1+0 and starts at $699.
