NewerTech has launched the MAXPower eSATA 6G PCIe 2.0 RAID Controller Card, which adds two SATA 6Gb/s ports along with port multiplier to allow up to ten drives (20TB) with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD support. The card works with both PCs and Mac Pros.

Iomega has announced a series of desktop and portable external hard drives. The newly-announced models feature USB 3.0 connections and Mac Editions with dual FireWire 800 ports.

SanDisk introduced its latest flash memory storage products at Computex Taipei including the G4 and P4 SSDs, available in capacities up to 256GB.

Kingston has announced it’s shipping the SD10A/64GB, a 64GB SDXC UHS-1 Class 10 memory card. SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) is the next next generation SD format that allows capacities to eventually reach 2TB. Kingston’s offering has read speeds up to 60MB/sec. and write speeds of up to 35MB/sec.

OCZ is revealing new consumer and enterprise SSDs at Computex Taipei. New products include the enterprise-grade Deneva series SSDs and the consumer RevoDrive PCI-express based bootable SSD.

Hitachi has launched a broad family of 2.5″ 7mm (z-height) hard drives designed to be used in thin and light notebooks, blade servers and home theater gear like DVRs. The Travelstar Z7K320 and Z5K320 families and the CinemaStar Z5K320 offer capacities up to 320GB on a single platter.

Pretec announced a number of new products at Computex Taipei 2010. New offerings include its CFast Hypersonic CF cards (up to 128GB), SDXC 64GB memory cards and a high-speed USB 3.0 card reader.

The Hitachi-LG HyDrive optical disk drive/solid state disk (OD/SSD) combo is now official. The HyDrive fits into a notebook computer’s optical drive bay. It features 32GB or 64GB of NAND flash memory and an optical drive in one unit.
