Today Mellanox released ConnectX-6 Dx cards that are capable of 200Gb/s over NVMe/TCP. Mellanox was founded in 1999 and provides data center network solutions. NVIDIA is in the process of buying Mellanox for $6.9 billion by the end of the calendar year.

Today Cisco announced new Storage Area Networking (SAN) Technology innovations. Today, at VMworld 2019, Dell EMC and VMware announced SmartFabric Director. Dell EMC SmartFabric Director is intended to streamline the creation of an open network fabric based on Dell EMC PowerSwitch Series switches.
