Miratnis Announces VNF Certification
Mirantis announced its new VNF Certification program for communication service providers (CSPs) with validated solutions on Mirantis Cloud Platform. The process:
- Identifies and assesses the best VNF for the business needs
- Provides an automated and repeatable test and validation process
- Performs the required tests as often as necessary
- Supports a dynamic, agile and repeatable deployment environment
- Provides clear reporting and data at all stages of the program
- Prepares VNFs for consumption by production orchestration solutions
Zuul Releases Version 3.03
The popular CI/CD platform, Zuul, is now in version 3.03 and has become an independent project hosted at the OpenStack Foundation (OSF). The latest release of Zuul, version 3, adds features such as GitHub integration and Ansible-based jobs. Zuul has proven itself over the last six years to be a critical part of OpenStack development.
OpenStack Foundation Releases Whitepaper On Containers
The OpenStack Foundation and Kubernetes published a whitepaper on how to best ways to combine the two open source technologies. The whitepaper goes on to look at how members of the OpenStack community are leveraging containers in production. The full whitepaper can be downloaded from the link below.

Kata Containers Projext Releases Version 1.0
The open source project, Kata Containers, released version 1.0 of its software. Kata Containers can add a new layer of security through isolating containerized workloads with security comparable to virtual machines (VMs) without the performance burden of full VMs. The 1.0 version delivers the fully integrated code bases of the two technologies contributed to form the foundation of the project: Intel Clear Containers and runV technology from Hyper.sh to help solve current and emerging problems.
Canonical & Trilio Partner To Offers Shared Benefits
After delivering what can be described as an "interesting" speech, Canonical announced that it is partnering with Trilio on its BootStack and Ubuntu Advantage. This partnership will deliver TrilioVault to BootStack, Canonical’s fully managed OpenStack private cloud solution. Customers of Ubuntu Advantage will also be able to take advantage of TrilioVault.
