Dell today announced new workload-optimized solutions for Dell server, storage and networking systems running the SAP HANA real-time analytics database platform. Dell also announced Active System Manager 7.0, the management layer for the company’s converged infrastructure offerings, which integrates recently-acquired Gale Technologies IP to deploy virtualized infrastructure and applications.

WD has announced the expansion of its small- and medium-sized businesses product portfolio with the addition of network backup software and appliances from Arkeia Software, a privately held data protection company recently acquired by WD. HGST has announced the availability of its new 1.2TB Ultrastar C10K1200 hard drives, the largest in the C10K line of 10,000RPM enterprise drives. The C10K1200 features a 64MB cache and a 6Gb/s SAS 6Gb/s interface that is plug-compatible with the company’s Ultrastar SSDs.  

Intel has announced availability of its SSD 525 storage solution, with an mSATA form factor.
