Toshiba X-Blade Gale SSD Announced

Toshiba Japan has announced the X-Blade Gale SSD which uses the same interface as the new MacBook Air SSD. Designed for ultra-portable notebooks and other compact computing environments, the X-Blade Gale comes in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB with speeds of up to 220MB/s read and 180MB/s write.

Kingston SSDNow V+100 Announced

Kingston has announced an extension to their SSD line, the SSDNow V+100. The V+100 is highlighted by OS independent garbage collection, and a tweener capacity option of 96GB to go with more mainstream 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB options. Quoted performance numbers come in with 230MB/s read speeds and 180MB/s writes.

OCZ has launched the RevoDrive X2, the second in the PCIe SSD line. The RevoDrive X2 is highlighted by quad-SF-1200 processors, delivering 730 MB/s sequential read speeds and 120,000 IOPS.
