Dell EMC Announced New DP4400 Offering 24-192TB

Dell EMC announced its newest Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA), the Dell EMC IDPA DP4400; available for purchase immediately. Touted as simple to manage, deploy, and upgrade, the DP4400 provides 24-96TB of in place storage; growing up to 192TB in the cloud with no additional hardware. Built from the ground up for mid-size organizations, the DP4400 features enterprise-class capabilities for backup, replication, recovery, and the Dell EMC Future-Proof Loyalty Program; providing up to 55:1 Data Protection Deduplication Guarantee.


Dell EMC announced its newest Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA), the Dell EMC IDPA DP4400; available for purchase immediately. Touted as simple to manage, deploy, and upgrade, the DP4400 provides 24-96TB of in place storage; growing up to 192TB in the cloud with no additional hardware. Built from the ground up for mid-size organizations, the DP4400 features enterprise-class capabilities for backup, replication, recovery, and the Dell EMC Future-Proof Loyalty Program; providing up to 55:1 Data Protection Deduplication Guarantee.

To provide fast and efficient administration, the DP4400 provides an HTML 5 user interface that automates daily tasks including management, monitoring, and reporting. To enable administrators to continue using familiar user interfaces, it is also integrated with VMware native tools, SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle RMAN. The IDPA DP4400 delivers support for many physical and virtual existing applications like MySQL and MongoDB as well as multiple hypervisors such as VMware, vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V. Optimized for VMware environments, vAdmins can perform most common backup and recovery tasks directly from the native vSphere UI.

Cloud Disaster Recovery to Amazon AWS, is available with end-to-end orchestration—failover in three clicks, and failback in two clicks—all without the need for additional hardware. IDPA DP4400 comes with 5TB licenses each for Cloud Disaster Recovery and Cloud Tier as well as a Dell EMC RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines starter pack that provides five VMs and a one-year subscription (a free option when selected at the time of purchase).
