DataCore Software Announces Storage Hypervisor for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager

Enterprise  ◇  Networking

DataCore Software has introduced the SANsymphony-V Monitoring Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, enabling customers to easily monitor and manage storage assets virtualized by SANsymphony-V and other facets of their data center from System Center. Through a common storage virtualization layer, the new storage hypervisor enhances the value of diverse storage resources by unifying advanced services, such as provisioning, auto-tiering, replication, and performance acceleration.

The SANsymphony-V Monitoring Pack constantly observes the health, performance, and availability of these virtualized storage resources in System Center and encompasses both on-premise and off-premise (i.e. cloud-based) components, which includes redundant, high-availability elements and those in remote disaster recovery sites. The information displays on a “single pane of glass” with other facets of the data center, “simplifying end-to-end service management of diverse storage environments.”

Some of the key features include:

  • Centrally monitors heterogeneous disk farms from the System Center Operations Manager console
  • Simplifies the end-to-end service management of diverse storage equipment
  • Quickly determines the health of the system and its key components
  • Immediately detects any abnormal conditions
  • Isolates trouble spots
  • Identifies the source of problems with potential solutions
  • Visualizes performance trends
  • Tracks capacity consumption

The SANsymphony-V Monitoring Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager is available now.
