Dell Advances Data Protection Portfolio Amid Rising Cyber Threats

by Harold Fritts

Dell Technologies is advancing its data protection portfolio to enhance cyber resiliency across appliances, software, and as-a-service offerings amid rising cyber threats.

Dell Technologies is advancing its data protection portfolio to enhance cyber resiliency across appliances, software, and as-a-service offerings amid rising cyber threats. This development aligns with findings from the 2024 Dell Global Data Protection Index survey, which indicated that 75% of organizations are not confident in their current data protection strategies against ransomware. Additionally, nearly 70% are unsure about their ability to recover from a cyberattack effectively.

Arthur Lewis, president of the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell Technologies, highlighted the challenges posed by the rapid growth of data and the integration of generative AI (GenAI). He emphasized that GenAI offers significant benefits for business processes and decision-making but also increases the potential for cyberattacks, particularly with the rising importance of trained AI models. According to Lewis, as the digital landscape expands, revealing more vulnerabilities, more enterprises are relying on Dell’s robust data protection and AI capabilities to safeguard their critical data across various environments.
