Fusion-io has been providing custom acceleration solutions for HP’s line of ProLiant servers for some time. With the recent update to ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8) servers, Fusion-io has worked with HP to release a second generation application acceleration product. The new HP IO Accelerators are installed within the ProLiant and BladeSystem platforms, leveraging the PCIe bus to deliver tremendous throughput for critical applications.

HP is the first OEM to market with Fusion-io’s second generation ioMemory technology. The HP IO Accelerators are available in capacities up to 2.4TB with read IOPS of 892,000, write IOPS of 935,000 and 15 microsecond sustained write access latency. The accelerators also offer VMware View for virtualized desktop deployments, providing increased VM density, scalability and performance.
