G.Skill has added to their array of SSDS with the new line dubbed Phoenix. The Phoeniz SSDs are highlighted by a SandForce SF-1200 processor, capacities of 50GB and 100GB and blazing speeds with 280MB/s reads and 270MB/s writes.
The 50GB (FM-25S2S-50GBP1) and 100GB (FM-25S2S-100GBP1) drives come in a standard 2.5" form factor with SATA II interface. Aside from the fast read and write speeds, G.Skill claims sustained write speeds up to 100MB/s. The drives include a 2-year warranty and 1.5 million hour MTBF.
Availability
The G.Skill Phoenix SSDs are expected to be available soon, though no pricing has been announced.
