HP Unveils New Professional Workstations to Meet the Needs of the Remote Workforce

HP has announced new devices and solutions designed to improve the user collaboration and creation experience, no matter where their place of work might be. These types of solutions are more important than ever. Even though many businesses have moved towards a remote workforce, their expectations have not changed; both in quality and speed. This is where HP’s new additions and refreshed workstations come in.

HP Elite Dragonfly G3

The HP Elite Dragonfly G3 with Windows 11 is a mobile workstation, highlighted by its light and portable build. At under 1kg, the Dragonfly G3 is available in Slate Blue or Natural Silver and is powered by 12th-Gen Intel processors. It also features a 13.5-inch “clamshell” design, offerings more screen real estate due to its taller 3:2 aspect screen ratio.

The Elite Dragonfly G3 is equipped with a range of features that helps improve the remote collaboration and virtual meeting experience, including Audio by Bang & Olufsen and four discrete amps. Moreover, HP Dynamic Voice Leveling automatically optimizes voice clarity while AI-based noise reduction 2.0 enhances audio. The Dragonfly workstation is also equipped with intelligent charging. This means the battery will learn your work patterns so it can best optimize power consumption for your daily usage.

HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook

The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook is specifically built mobile, cloud-centric workstyles, with HP indicating that it is the world’s most advanced Chromebook for business users. Focusing on both collaboration and security, it is the first Chromebook to feature a haptic trackpad and Intel vPro.

HP’s new Chromebook is outfitted with a 5MP camera with lowlight improvement and four Audio by Bang & Olufsen speakers. In addition, users can also take notes and share ideas via the optional magnetic pen, which attaches and charges wirelessly on the side of the workstation.HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook side views

The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook also features the HP SureView Reflect integrated privacy screen to protect sensitive on-screen information, while the HP Sure Shutter blocks the webcam via a single click.

Other HP Workstations Announced at CES 2022

HP also unveiled additional other new Windows 11 devices, which focus on productivity, collaboration, and security:

HP EliteBook 840 G9

  • HP Elite x360 1040 G9 and HP EliteBook 1040 G9 focus on performance and lightness for mobile workers. They both have been redesigned for hybrid work and feature a thin and light chassis with a 16:10 screen aspect ratio. HP Presence allows users to both look and sound great via a 5MP camera, 940nm IR camera, and immersive audio software.
  • HP EliteBook 800 G9 Series PCs have also been redesigned with an ultra-slim chassis, a new 16:10 ratio screen, and a larger clickpad. This new EliteBook also features HP Presence, an optional auto-tracking 5MP camera, Audio by Bang & Olufsen, and optional 5G connectivity for fast mobile Internet.
  • HP EliteBook 600 G9 Series PCs are powerful and secure solutions that allow easy standardization into existing IT environments.
  • HP ProBook 400 G9 Series PCs are lightweight workstations with a design that allows for easy upgrading. It also boasts commercial performance, security, and durability.

HP has also launched digital solutions labeled as “accessible, consistent, complementary, and continuous”. These include:

  • The HP ENVY Desktop PC is a new power-driven release designed for creative professionals. It features HP Palette, which includes Duet for HP (which allows you to use your tablet, phone, or PC as a second display), and HP QuickDrop (an app that allows you to easily transfer files between devices). It comes with multiple high-speed ports, such as Thunderbolt and a card reader, as well as the ability to connect up to four 4K monitors. The new ENVY features Windows 11, up to a 12thGen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics. It also features one-touch tool-less expandability for easy upgrading.
  • The HP Z2 Mini G9 is dubbed by the company as the world’s most powerful mini workstation. This makes it ideal for architects and graphic designers who need a compact, performance-driven solution for their space-constrained environments. The Z2 Mini G9 can be equipped with a range of low-profile, professional NVIDIA RTX GPU options, next-gen Intel Core processors (including K-Series), allowing users to load multiple applications for design, rendering, and simulation.
