With the adoption of certain technologies (action cameras, drones, Android devices, and gaming devices like the Nintendo Switch), microSD cards are in pretty high demand. Users want enough capacity where they don’t have to frequently change out cards in the field, plenty of performance, and all at a good cost. Lexar has been producing quality cards for some time and are extending this today with the Lexar Professional 1066x microSDHC/microSDXC SILVER Series.

The Lexar Professional 1066x microSD is a UHS-I card and is a good choice for those capturing full-HD and 4K UHD video. The cards can provide up to 160MB/s read and up to 120MB/s write. The card is a Class 10, UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) which should fit the bill for fast shooting and shooting longer.

For use with Android devices or game systems, the cards come with Application Performance Class 2 (A2) rating. This means it should work well with applications on Android systems, storing and running.
