Lexar Professional DIAMOND CFexpress
Dubbed by Lexar as the world’s fastest CFexpress card, the new DIAMOND Series is a high-performance memory solution meant for professional filmmakers and content creators. It is quoted to deliver impressive speeds up to 1.9GB/s, so creators can speed up their post-production workflows and improve productivity. For writes, it is expected to reach up to 1.7GB/s, allowing it seamlessly capture smooth RAW 8K, 6K and 4K video. The DIAMOND series is also backward compatible with some XQD cameras.
Lexar Professional GOLD CFexpress
Lexar’s new GOLD Series is designed for next-gen cinema and mirrorless cameras that support the CFexpress Type A format. With quoted speeds of 900MB/s read and 800MB/s write, the new GOLD series allows professionals to capture high-quality images and seamless 8K, 6K and 4K video.
Lexar also announced that it will launch the CFexpress Type A Reader, which supports ultra-high-speed USB 10Gbps transfer protocol via USB Type-C. No release date has been set for the reader, but Lexar indicates it should hit the market in the coming months.
Nonetheless, both cards support the VPG 400 specification, which ensures at least 400MB/s in sustained write speeds during professional-quality video captures for compatible devices. This means no drop in frames during shoots. In addition, the new GOLD and DIAMOND series feature rugged durability, so professionals can capture their content in harsh elements. For further peace of mind, they are also shock and vibration-proof, resistant to extreme temperatures and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
